Amazon review by Bob

Although the theme is topical with recent bank crashes and rescue attempts this book focuses on one individual Sir Phillip Black director of NattScott a failed and recently nationalised bank. Much of the bank is from the perspective of Sir Phil who can see nothing wrong with his part in the bank’s collapse. However he has an enforced drop in his standard of living when chased by a Russian “Mikhail Strelnikov” and is initially move to a safe house for his own protection by the British secret service. As the story unfolds various factions and governments become interested in Sir Phil’s whereabouts and he has to use all of his wits to avoid them. I liked the plot which did seem plausible the locations and characters well described and although what happened at the end was not exactly surprising it did provide a satisfactory conclusion for all concerned except perhaps for Sir Phil.
