About Me

I  was born in London and after studying Mathematics at University I had a career as a software engineer.  I’m a keen mountaineer and I’ve climbed in the Alps, Alaska and South America.  My reading interests includes thriller writers such as Ken Follett, John Grisham, Frederick Forsyth and Robert Harris but also travel and mountaineering writers such as Heinrich Harrer and Joe Simpson as well as writers such as Graham Greene, John Fowles  and political biographies. In 2009 I trained as an English Language teacher and subsequently spent time in South America, which provided much of the background for The Banker.
